I have been making creativity journals for many years. I always have one going on. It’s a place where I connect with my creativity even if I can only spend a short time on it.
Anything can go into it: collages, sketches. drawing.... it’s not meant to be precious! There’s only one rule: to have fun.
I take them with me when I’m away from home, just to keep in touch with my creativity. When I’m home and I don’t have much time, I will play around with my creativity journal, even if the inspiration is not there. Or as warm up, when I get started in the studio.
Sometimes, I can even find ideas for my paintings, and it's interesting to look back and see how we have evolved.
